Wealdstone boss hails ‘excellent’ Crystal Palace loanee after win at Aldershot
Matt Taylor hailed Crystal Palace loanee Jack Wells-Morrison after he came back into the Wealdstone starting 11 to help secure a 2-0 win at Aldershot.
The 20-year-old has made 11 National League appearances during his first stint away from Selhurst Park.
Wells-Morrison, who is on loan at the Grosvenor Vale Stadium until January, started the last two league outings on the bench.
But he came back into the starting 11 for the trip to Aldershot and helped Taylor’s side extend their three-game unbeaten run.
“Jack was excellent again,” said former West Ham and Portsmouth defender Taylor.
“He was brilliant. He covered some ground. What he also did was the other side of the game exceptionally well.
“You can see his quality.
“It was an excellent performance from our players. They outworked the opposition and did the basics very well today.
“They got their just rewards. We were the better team. Our players are starting to understand the importance of hard work.
“When we do that well, we look a really good team. I’m proud as anything with them.”
