Wigan plot January move for Crystal Palace defender

Wigan Athletic want to sign Crystal Palace defender Tayo Adaramola this January.

The attacking full-back had interest from Shaun Maloney’s side in the summer window but opted to join fellow League One side Stockport County. 

 Adaramola made 10 appearances during his time with Stockport but had his loan cancelled at the start of the winter window.

Irish left-back Adaramola has had spells at Coventry and RWD Molenbeek and is poised to head out on his fourth senior loan spell away from Selhurst Park.

He has made two senior appearances for the Eagles – both coming in the FA Cup run under Patrick Vieira in the 2021-22 season.

Wigan are 17th in League One.
