Students from Welling School presented a £7,500 cheque to the Help for Heroes charity
Lovell Homes, the developers creating Trinity Walk in Woolwich, donated the cash to Help for Heroes in a cheque presentation at the development recently, recognising the area’s strong military heritage and wanting to support the charity’s important work.
The donation was raised by Lovell Homes, putting aside £50 for every home purchased at Trinity Walk to date, and was collected by James Burns of Help for Heroes and Major John Eldridge from the Royal Artillery Barracks.
James Burns, of Help for Heroes, said: “Help for Heroes provides recovery and support for all those and their families who have been affected by their time serving in the British Armed Forces.
“We are here for wounds both visible and hidden and are driven by the belief that those who put their lives on the line for us deserve a second chance at life for them and their families.
“Help for Heroes would like to say a huge thank you to Lovell Homes for their fundraising efforts, we really do appreciate your support.”
Trinity Walk is part of the ongoing regeneration in Woolwich. Prices at Trinity Walk start from £360,000 for a one-bedroom apartment.
