Thames Clippers day out

Take to the river this half-term on the Thames Clippers  and visit a whole host of fun family events taking place at London’s top attractions.

Begin at Battersea power station pier and embark on an adventure with Storystock.

Taking place at Circus West Village, kids will be spoiled with three days of literary-based fun including storytelling, performances, workshops and guest appearances, including the legendary children’s author and illustrator, Judith Kerr.

Hop back on board (changing at Bankside Pier, with a quick stop off at Tate Modern for a go on One Two Three Swing)  and head to Greenwich, home of the magnificent Cutty Sark, where kids can flex their creative muscles and design vehicles to be raced beneath the historic tea clipper.

Finally, jump back on the boat and head to the Greenwich Peninsula (North Greenwich Pier) where you’ll have the chance to travel back in time to meet ‘living’ dinosaurs.

The new attraction Dinosaurs in the Wild transports visitors back 67 million years in a pioneering time machine, for a one-of-a-kind adventure.

While on board the river bus, kids can enjoy the free app in:flow, to learn facts about the river and London’s iconic sights in real time. Ask for the free Learning the Ropes activity packs for children, which include river-based activities and puzzles. Wildlife fans can also download an activity worksheet created in conjunction with ZSL and enjoy spotting creatures including seals and fish.

Kids go free with a Family River Roamer, an all day hop-on hop-off ticket for two adults and up to three children (15 years and under) for just £32.60 when you book online.
