Traffic chaos as motorcyclist involved in collision at Oval, one of South London’s busiest hubs
A crash involving a motorcycle caused massive back-ups all around one of South London’s busiest hubs, near the Oval Tube station.
A collision involving the bike happened on Camberwell New Road in Kennington shortly after 1pm.
A man was rushed to hospital and road closures put in place by emergency services.
The road was closed from Foxley Road at The Kennington Pub to A3 Kennington Park Road by Oval Station.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 1:05pm today (June 1) to reports of a road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist on Camberwell New Road, Kennington.
“We sent an ambulance crew and a medic in a car to the scene.
“A man was treated and taken to hospital as a priority.”
