Transfer window opening and closing dates – as Millwall, Charlton and AFC Wimbledon ready for summer transactions

The EFL has confirmed the opening and closing dates for the 2023-24 summer and winter transfer windows.

All three of our clubs have completed their campaigns and Millwall, Charlton and AFC Wimbledon are already beginning to formulate and act on their summer ins and out.

The summer transfer window will open on June 14 and close at 11pm on September 1.

The winter transfer window will open on January 1 and close at 11pm on February 1.

“The factors impacting on the specific dates include alignment with other European Leagues and meeting FIFA’s requirement for transfer windows to be open for a maximum of 112 days in any one season,” said an EFL statement.

Full details on the key dates across EFL competitions for the 2023-24 campaign can be found here.
