A man and a woman have been charged by postal requisition with the murder of a one month old baby.
Clare Sanders, 42, and Tomas Vaitkevicius, 44, both of Streatham Road, Mitcham, were summonsed to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court nearly two years after the death of baby Eva Sanders.
Police were called to the property in Mitcham on September 1 and Eva was taken to hospital but passed away the following day.
The pair charges of murder, and causing or allowing the death of a child.
A statement from Scotland Yard said: “Clare Sanders, and Tomas Vaitkevicius, 44, both of Streatham Road, Mitcham CR4, were summonsed to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on 30 April after being charged by postal requisition on 3 April with murder, and causing/allowing the death of a child, namely Eva Sanders.”
