Ursuline High School, Wimbledon is excited to announce that there are places available on their Digital and Lab Science T-level courses.
In September 2020, the sixth form was proud to be chosen as one of only fifty schools in the country selected to be a provider for this fantastic new alternative to A-levels.
T-levels are a new type of post-16, 2-year qualification, with one T-level being equivalent to 3 A-levels, that are based on the same standards as apprenticeships and have been designed in collaboration with leading industry employers.
This ensures that the course content stays relevant to the current climate of the industry. T-level students will be fully equipped with the knowledge, skills and experience needed to pursue and thrive in highly skilled employment, apprenticeships, or higher education.
T- levels have the same UCAS points as three A -levels – perfect for students looking to study at university!
Most options for young adults in higher education lack any form of work experience, an invaluable tool for students in today’s working world.
T-levels aims to break away from this by introducing a 45-day work placement with a leading employer so that students can get hands-on experience to learn what it takes to meet the needs of a business and prepare for a career in the industry.
The Digital Production, Design & Development course is perfect for those looking to pursue a digital based career.
Ursuline High School, Wimbledon’s offer includes an industry backed, technical alternative to studying three different A-levels or BTECs and an opportunity to gain invaluable experience working as part of team with a leading employer in the digital sector.
The skills and knowledge you develop in the classroom will be put into practice on a 45-day work placement where you will significantly contribute to ongoing projects.
If you enjoy Biology, Chemistry or Physics, Ursuline Wimbledon’s Laboratory Science T-level course will give you the opportunity to continue your studies at an advanced level.
The course was designed alongside leading experts in the world of science, ensuring our content is always up to date which will be key in developing your skills.
