Valentine’s Day ideas by Paloma Lacy

Roses are red, violets are blue, here’s what South London’s got for you.

Romantic dinners for two are always nice but there are so many more ways to celebrate the big day.

Here are two of our favourites:

Birdies in Battersea:
London’s newest cocktail bar and crazy golf experience, Birdies is offering a Valentine’s Day package which includes a sharing cocktails and a food platter from their on-site restaurant, Taco-Yaki, and a round of golf for two.
Enjoy all this for just £50 from February 12-14.

Steer clear of traditional windmills and boring golf ramps and let Birdies take your date night to new heights, spicing things up with a surreal nine-hole course. Complete with mirrors, infinity holes and hidden tracks, dump the traditional Valentine’s date night for the ultimate competitive date night under the arches.

Perfect for pairs, loved up couples can devour a Love Potion No. 9, a delicious sharing cocktail of Bombay Sapphire gin, Picpoul de Pinet, St Germain elderflower liqueur, lemon and raspberries, topped off with a sherbet dip dab, designed to inject some fizz into your relationship and get you licking your lips for more (golfing) action.

Not coupled up? No worries! Birdies is also the ideal destination for those celebrating Galentine’s Day. Bring along your friends, put your skills to the test and tuck into street food and delicious cocktails, including a Yum Yum or a Knickerbocker Royale for the ultimate girls’ night out.
