Web Safety Guru – protecting you from Online Threats

Over the last couple of years we’ve become more dependent on the internet than ever.

Many people find using technology intimidating and frustrating.

A recent survey in America revealed that 53% of seniors thought learning new technology caused more anxiety than visiting the dentist.

What’s more cyber-criminals are trying to steal passwords, personal data and money from innocent computer users.

With my NEW Web Safety Guru training, I’ll show you how to protect yourself against these threats.

By showing you how to strengthen your password regime, how to recognise the tell-tale signs of fraudulent emails, how to respond to viruses and malware, how to control your privacy settings and how to cut out common mistakes on social media, I aim to make you safer and more confident online.

Web Safety Guru sessions are tailored to your needs. You’ll have a friendly and experienced trainer who’ll guide you through the issues that matter to you – and in plain English, not jargon.

Three courses are currently on offer: the General Web Safety Course, Email Masterclass and Social Media Masterclass.

Home visits are available to customers in the South Croydon area. Zoom sessions of around 75 minutes are available nationwide.

Discounts for second and subsequent sessions.

Former Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick has encouraged everyone in the country who can afford to do so to buy a newspaper, and told the Downing Street press briefing recently: “A free country needs a free press, and the newspapers of our country are under significant financial pressure”.

So if you have enjoyed reading this story, and if you can afford to do so, we would be so grateful if you can buy our newspaper or make a donation, which will allow us to continue to bring stories like this one to you both in print and online.

Everyone at the South London Press thanks you for your continued support.
