Will Nigel Adkins be tuning in to other results as Charlton’s League One race enters home straight?

Nigel Adkins is not planning on keeping across other League One scores as Charlton’s play-off push goes into the dramatic final stretch.
The Addicks head to Accrington Stanley tomorrow effectively in a three-way fight with Oxford United and Portsmouth for sixth spot.
But Adkins, who has won promotion three times from League One with Scunthorpe United and Southampton, will largely be keeping away from updates on other matches.
Asked when he will look to find out the scorelines of rivals, the experienced boss said: “Probably the last game of the season, the last few minutes to go.
“I just try to concentrate on us and trying to win a game of football, if we can.
“It is good to be abreast of it [scorelines], but sometimes you’re relying on who is feeding that information in. I’ve had many situations over the years where people have thought it was one scoreline – and it’s not.
“It’s about concentrating on us to get our performance right and by doing that it gives us an opportunity to go and win. Isn’t the twists and turns the beauty of this stage of the season? It’s going to go all the way to the wire – we’ve got to make it go all the way to the wire.
“The fact of the matter is that if we get maximum points we are in the play-offs.
“It’s too easy to look ahead – stay in the present moment. That’s the important thing. We’ve got to ignore the white noise and control what we can control. We’re always looking to improve and I believe we have improved since my tenure here at the football club – I can’t talk about what has gone on before.”
