Woman in 20s forced to have surgery following a collision with a car in Herne Hill

A woman in her 20s has had to have surgery following a collision with a car.

Detectives investigating the collision in Herne Hill are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

Police were called just after 5pm on Tuesday, March 30, to reports of a blue Ford Zetec car in a collision with a cyclist on Dulwich Road, around 50 metres east of the junction with Regent Road.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene.

The female cyclist was taken to a South London hospital for treatment to fractures that required surgery.

Her injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The male driver of the car stopped at the scene.

He was not injured and no arrests were made.

Detectives from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or may have captured it on dashcam footage.
