Woman killed after fatal road collision in Wandsworth

A woman in her 30s has died this morning after a road collision between a scooter and a lorry in Wandsworth.

Emergency services were called at 08:36hrs to reports of a collision at Queenstown Road junction with Battersea Park Road.

The woman had suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this early stage there have been no arrests.

Road closures remain in place, these include: Chelsea Bridge, Nine Elms Lane and Prince of Wales Drive, while officers complete on scene investigations.

Anyone who witnessed this incident, or has any dash cam footage is asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 1979/12 June or Tweet @MetCC.
