Youngsters at Deptford Park Primary school learn the art of coding
Primary school children are being given coding classes.
Youngsters at Deptford Park Primary school are the latest school to benefit from a nationwide network of volunteers and teachers who run free coding clubs where young people build and share their ideas.
Volunteers from Lendlease attend the weekly sessions and support teachers to deliver the coding learning to students.
Code Club projects are easy to follow, step-by-step guides which help young people learn Scratch, HTML and CSS, and Python programming language by making games, animations, and websites.
The projects gradually introduce coding concepts to allow young people to build their knowledge. To find out more go to www.codeclub.org.uk
