Tooting & Mitcham United boss steps down after relegation
Tooting & Mitcham boss Ashley Bosah has stepped down after the club were relegated from the Isthmian League South Central Division.
The Terrors saw their 67-year stay in the Isthmian League come to an end as they finished bottom of the table on 24 points, winning just five times throughout the course of the campaign.
They will be playing in step five next season.
“Today, after five seasons, I’ll be standing down from my duties as first-team manager at Tooting & Mitcham United FC,” Bosah wrote in a statement on the club website.
“My time working within the first team environment has been one of pride. Thanks to the players, past and present for all their time and efforts. A huge thanks to Steve Adkins for the opportunity, Tony Cox, Jackie Watkins, the board and the volunteers. A huge heartfelt thanks to the Fans who have endured a very tough season.
“A special mention to my colleagues past and present from Cornelius Nwadialor, Myles Warren, Andy Hunt and also to the support staff, Dan Yankah, Francesca Tataro and Bobby Aspinall, thank you all.
“As I recently got married my family commitments have to take priority at this time and I feel as though this has played a major part in this decision.
“I will continue to work at the Club as Technical Director advancing our football plan, ensuring the development and progression of staff and players, also in my role as a Director of T&M Community Sports Club.
“I remain very passionate about the future of the club.
“The new manager will have my utmost support in their endeavours to get this club back to winning ways.”
Andy Hunt has stepped down from his position as joint first-team manager with immediate effect.
