Merton group gets behind Palestinian cause

The Merton Palestine Solidarity Campaign met in Wimbledon Village on Sunday, with posters, banners and placards calling for a ceasefire now in Gaza and to end the UK arms sales to Israel.

There was music, chanting and many people honking their car horns in support as they handed out leaflets and spoke to residents about the horrifying attacks on Palestinian civilians, leaving thousands of men, women and children injured or dead.

Jackie Schneider, co-chairwoman of MPSC, said: “We want voters to ask anyone who is seeking to be a Member of Parliament whether they will support a ban on selling arms to Israel in light of the plausible risk of genocide.”

The Merton PSC meet on the second Thursday of each month at The William Morris House, 267, The Broadway, Wimbledon, at 7.15pm, where guest speakers, films,  fundraisers and events take place.  To join the mailing list email mertonpsc2017@outlook.com  Website: www.mertonpsc.co.uk
