Croydon Harriers put on dominant display at Young Athletes League outing

Croydon Harriers young athletes, U13 and U15 girls and boys were in dominant form at Central Park, Dartford, on Sunday.
They finished clear winners in their eight-team Southern Young Athletes League match on Sunday.
In their most balanced performance to date, the young Croydon athletes amassed 555 points ahead of closest challengers Brighton & Hove.
Talented U15 duo Millie Sims and Arabella Howard enjoyed a field day, winning both strings of their speciality, the high jump. with clearances of 1.58m and 1.40m.
Roles were reversed in the javelin where Howard took the A string with her best throw of 26.66m and Sims won the B string at 17.17m, Howard added further icing to the cake with a win in the A discus with a best effort of 18.46m
There, she was well supported by Eboereime-Ohika, who made it one of the club’s ten event maximums with her winning B string throw of 14.59m.
Croydon athletes similarly shone in the shot, with winners Atarah Watson at 10.76m and Amariah Okunlola at 6.55 out in front.
Atarah also comfortably won the hammer.
Harriers notched two further excellent high jump victories courtesy of U15 Rishan Shankar, who soared to 1.70m, a club best for the season.
Exciting U13 girl Ella-Jade Wilson, whose 1.45m leap saw her 15cm clear of the opposition, climbed into the UK top ten.
U15 middle distance boys Francis Bambury 2:15.40 and Eliot Peacock 2:18.80 ran away from the field for impressively earned maximum points.
U15 300m winner Kalvin Mills led a further fine points double with his 40.07sec 300m win ably backed up by B string winner Paul Onasanwo in 41.80sec.
The U15 girls sprint relay team were near their best and almost 5sec clear of their closest challengers in 50.67sec.
