Charlton Athletic keeper set to make Valley exit
Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Harry Isted is set to join Burton Albion on a permanent basis.
The 27-year-old has agreed a two-year contract with the Brewers.
Addicks manager Nathan Jones had told both the senior stoppers he had on the club’s books last season – Isted and Ashley Maynard-Brewer – that he would not block exits.
The Welshman has already moved to bring in Will Mannion on a free transfer once his deal at Cambridge United expired.
And Charlton have held talks with the super-experienced Asmir Begovic about becoming their number one for the 2024-25 League One season.
Isted joined the South London club last summer.
Both he and Maynard-Brewer had spells between the posts last season.
Jones favoured Isted, who he had worked with at Luton Town, when he replaced Michael Appleton in the Valley hotseat early in 2024.
