Further murder charge brought in relation to Antonios killing
A man whose image was circulated in connection with the murder of Antonios Antoniadis in Lewisham has been arrested and charged.
Joshua McCorquodale was arrested on Monday, July 29. The following day he was charged with Antonios’ murder.
McCorquodale, 20, from Camden, appeared in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, last week.
Police were called at around 9.20am on Sunday, July 7, to reports that a man had been assaulted and stabbed in Florence Terrace.
Antonios, aged in his late 20s, was taken to hospital, but despite two weeks of specialist intensive care hospital treatment, he died from his injuries.
A post-mortem examination was carried out and the preliminary cause of death was confirmed as multiple organ failure due to a stab wound to the thigh.
Three others who have been charged with murder – 19-year-old Sofian Alliche and a 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons – appeared at the Old Bailey on July 29.
A further man, Shian Johnson, 25, from Camden was arrested on July 28 and charged the following day with murder. He appeared in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, last week.
A trial date has been set for June 2025.
Three further arrests have been made in connection with the investigation. Three men – aged 19, 19 and 20 – were arrested on July 28 and 29 on suspicion of assisting an offender. They were taken into custody and later bailed to return pending further enquiries.
