A potentially violent man with connections to Hammersmith has absconded from a care facility in east London.

The Met are searching for Balasankar Narayanan, 44, who was last seen at around 6.40pm on Sunday, when he ran off from staff at a park in Ilford.

The force warned that Mr Narayanan was considered a risk to women and appealed for witnesses to help trace him.

Mr Narayanan has links across London, in particular to Hammersmith, Newham, Greenford, Highgate and Ilford, as well as the West Midlands.

He has also been previously found in Grays in Essex and in Manchester.

If seen call 999 immediately quoting CAD 6961/04Aug.
