Help is at hand through Baseline team for Lewisham GCSE graduates
Lewisham students needing help and guidance after receiving today’s GCSE results are being invited to contact the council’s Baseline team to work out their next steps.
Whether the results were good, bad or indifferent, impartial advice and support is on offer – either at their school or by contacting or the team at Baseline
The Baseline team held an open event today for young people at the Civic Suite, Catford, but do not fret if you missed it – simply get in touch with Baseline.
Support was on hand this morning at the Addey and Stanhope School in New Cross Road, New Cross, in the shape of Brenda Dacres, the Mayor of Lewisham, and Chris Barnham, Lewisham council’s cabinet member for children and young people, who joined staff and students.
Councillor Barnham said: “A huge well done to all students across the borough who are getting their reward for all their hard work over the last few months and years.
“It was a pleasure to spend time this morning with students and staff at Addey and Stanhope School and inspiring to hear from students about their next steps and plans for the future.
“Across the borough, these results are a testament to the talent and resilience of our young people, and our dedicated school staff who work tirelessly to help their students achieve their goals.”
