Dons forward wins PFA League Two Fans’ Player of the Month award
AFC Wimbledon forward Ali Al-Hamadi has won the PFA League Two Fans’ Player of the Month award for March.
The 21-year-old registered three goals and one assist last month for Johnnie Jackson’s side.
Al-Hamadi joined the Dons in the winter window from League One side Wycombe Wanderers, signing a two-and-a-half-year deal at Plough Lane.
The former Swansea and Tranmere youngster has scored nine goals for the Dons in 17 appearances.
Speaking to the club, the Iraqi international said: “I’m over the moon – I didn’t expect it. It’s amazing – I’m so thankful for it.
“I hope it’s the beginning of many more to come. Thank you to all the boys and the staff who’ve helped me since I’ve come in. I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this without the help of everyone.
“My goal against Walsall was the most enjoyable, because we not only won the game but also saw some great scenes at the end. It was the most meaningful one for me.”
