Former Crystal Palace captain joins Tottenham’s first team coaching staff
Former Crystal Palace captain Mile Jedinak has been named in Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur coaching staff.
Jedinak has left his role as Aston Villa’s loan development coach to join the north Londoners ahead of the 2023-24 season.
He has been named as an assistant coach to work alongside Postecoglu, who joined this summer from Celtic.
The now 38-year-old captained the Australia national team under Postecoglou at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Jedinak made 179 appearances for the Eagles and captained the side that won promotion to the Premier League in 2013.
He scored 10 goals and picked up 10 assists during his time at Selhurst Park.
In an interview with the Athletic in 2019, Jedinak said: “I’d like to manage. If that was the path I was going down, it would be great to manage. There’s a long road before that but it would be something to try to explore some day.”
