A group of Master of Fine Art graduates has been featured in a major exhibition at a London gallery to celebrate new emerging artists from the capital’s leading art schools.

Saatchi Gallery has dedicated a key exhibition for 2021 MA graduates to highlight the up-and-coming artists of today.

More than 200 MA graduating artists, 12 graduate curators, and over 250 artworks be featured.

The Saatchi Gallery on King’s Road has previously run a successful exhibition for grads last year and hopes to continue their support for new artists.

The graduates have hailed from 7 leading Art universities, Goldsmiths, UAL Camberwell and Chelsea College of Art, Central Saint Martins, Kingston School of Art, Slade School of Art, and Royal College of Art.

Goldsmiths University curator and MA graduate, LaTosha Monique, 40, came from Ohio Columbus to the UK to study for her masters and lives in Herne Hill.

Ms Monique said: “The London Grads Now. 21 exhibition is a beautiful opportunity to show the works of dedicated artists who persevered through the most challenging of times due to Covid-19.

“The selected work provides a look as to how creativity plays an active role in sustaining our collective well-being.

“This collection is reflective of the safe havens explored internally, which informed a diverse form of creative processes.”

The exhibition will run from Thursday, November 4, 2021, until Saturday, January 16, 2022, with artists making 100 per cent of the proceeds from sales of their artwork to help kickstart their careers.

UAL Camberwell and Chelsea College of Arts curator, Juan Bolivar said: “The group of students in this exhibition celebrate the resilience and optimism within this moment and how material culture and relational practices are connected to our impulse to gather.

“Un-muted, loud and material we hope that the spirit we have seen asserted within this community will speak through this selection of recent work.”

Victoria Rotaru, 27, is an MA graduate from UAL Camberwell, who created her final piece called ‘Perpetual Decomposer’ featured in Saatchi Gallery.

Ms Rotaru said: “It feels just amazing to be a part of such a great exhibition in one of the top galleries in London.

“From the start, I was so nervous and excited that I couldn’t believe that this was happening to me.”
