Wallace and Gromit: The Restored Shorts at the BFI Southbank

The adventures of plasticine duo Wallace and Gromit became legendary among kids – and their parents – in the 1990s.

This Sunday, for one day only, the adventures of the much-loved man and dog tag team are being resurrected at the BFI on the Southbank.

Restored by the American Academy, audiences will get to see Wallace and Gromit faves A Grand Day Out, The Wrong Trousers and a Close Shave as well as other Aardman Animation shorts Adam, Wat’s Pig and and War Story.

With more than 40 years in the business, Aardman is still pushing out some of the highest quality animation in the world.

Audiences will get the chance to quiz co-founder David Sproxton after the screenings.

Before the film, there is an Aardman Funday Workshop at 11.30am in the foyer. Families can try their hand at stop-motion animation, invent their own characters and launch them on adventures. Best of all – there are prizes for the best stories.

Wallace and Gromit: The Restored Shorts plus Q&A with Aardman co-founder David Sproxton at the BFI, Belvedere Road on Sunday, March 11 at 1.30pm.

Tickets from £4-£8.80. Buy from www.whatsonbfi.org.uk
