Greenwich policeman pleads guilty to sexual activity with child and possession of Class A Drugs
A South-east London copper has pleaded guilty to sexual activity with a child and possession of Class A drugs.
A special case hearing for Metropolitan Police Special Constable (MSC) David Rodley, attached to Greenwich Borough, was held on Friday July 13.
He had pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a child, sexual communication with a child and possession of Class A drugs, on Friday March 16.
He has since pleaded guilty to additional offences and is due to be sentenced tomorrow, July 18.
Rodley was arrested in November 2017 by the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit and charged three months later with a range of offences and remanded in custody.
It was alleged that his conduct amounted to a breach of the standards of professional behaviour in respect of ‘authority, respect and courtesy’ and ‘discreditable conduct’.
The Chair of the case hearing found the allegations proven as gross misconduct, and he was dismissed without notice. Rodley was not present at the proceedings, and was not legally represented.
