Fans who want to celebrate or commiserate with others can enjoy the beautiful game on the big screen at Trafalgar Square.
There’s a socially distanced fan zone and people had to apply for tickets.
Because of the coronavirus restrictions viewing is currently following social distancing rules.
Tickets for the first two matches, including this Friday’s match which pits England against Scotland, are reserved for key workers.
Westminster City Council teamed up with the Mayor of London to ensure people stay safe whilst watching the matches.
Because of the pandemic it has a capacity of 832 – with fans sitting at tables spaced out across the historic square.
Hundreds of fans turned out to enjoy the first match.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan said the first events were a way of giving back to the capital’s key workers.
He said: “They have gone above and beyond over the last 18 months.
“After the darkness and trauma of the last months we needed to uplift their spirits.”
Councillor Melvyn Caplan who is Westminster Council’s deputy leader and has responsibility for city management said: “It was fantastic to see hundreds of key workers soaking up the atmosphere in the Trafalgar Square fan zone on Sunday.
“Everyone watching the match from the iconic Westminster location respected the social distancing rules and Covid-19 safety measures in place.
“We all need to play our part in abiding by the guidelines to protect each other and we will continue to work with the event organisers to ensure those who attend the fan zone can do so safely.”
The ticket-only fan zone is screening England group matches on June 18 and 22 and additional matches if England gets through to the round of 16 and the quarter finals.
They will show the semi finals from Wembley stadium on July 6 and 7 and the final on July 11.
Sadly people without tickets cannot gather nearby to watch the screen from outside the fan zone, because of the pandemic.
