Man in 60s hospitalised after bus stabbing

A man, believed to be in his 60s, was hospitalised after he was stabbed on a bus on Wednesday evening.

Cops were called shortly before 9pm to reports of a stabbing on a Route 436 bus, in Camberwell New Road, Kennington.

Officers attended the scene and a man in his 60s was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.

His condition has since been assessed as non life-threatening.

A spokesman from the Met said: “At this early stage there have been no arrests and enquiries continue.

“Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 quoting reference CAD 7888/29May”
