New coronavirus testing centre at Ladbroke Grove Tube station

By Owen Sheppard, Local Democracy Reporter

A new Covid-19 testing centre has been set up by Ladbroke Grove Tube station in West London.

Kensington and Chelsea council said the centre, which opened on Monday, will be open seven-days-a-week from 8am to 8pm.

It will be located in the Malton Road Hub, a set of offices normally used by the council’s social services department.

“The centre significantly increases the number of tests available to residents in Kensington and Chelsea,” the council said.

The Olympia has also been used twice a week as a test centre. Pop-up testing sites have also been located Kensington Town Hall, the World’s End estate in Chelsea and Holy Trinity Church in Brompton Road, Knightsbridge.
