Palace players bring some cheer to kids stuck in hospital

Jesus saves but Joel Ward would have cleared off the line anyway.
At least that’s what he could have said to some of his fans at King’s College Hospital when he lit up some faces with a visit to children’s wards this week, with striker Connor Wickham.
The two Crystal Palace footballers dropped in to the wards on Thursday to spread some Christmas cheer.
Wickham and Ward delivered Christmas presents, including puzzles
and cuddly toys, to children on Rays of Sunshine Ward, which is for children with liver conditions. The players posed for photos with patients, their families, and staff.
Among those they spoke to are the Killoh family from Aberdeen. Four-year-old Bobby-Jo came to King’s for a liver transplant. Bobby Jo’s dad Iain said: “It’s great to have the players here. It’s a put a smile on all the kids’ faces.”
Ward sister Natalie Lynch, who is a Crystal Palace fan, said: “Many of the children on this ward have been here for a long time so it’s lovely that the players were able to visit and bring some Christmas cheer, as well as some great gifts, with them.
“They were so nice to all the children and their families and made time to chat with everyone. My family are all Crystal Palace fans so I was especially pleased they were able to visit!”
