Wetherby School in Westminster sets strong A-level benchmark for future cohorts
A new independent day school for boys, Wetherby Senior, has set strong A-level results for its first cohort of boys.
A total of 58 per cent of entries were graded A* or A, and 85 per cent A*-B.
A quarter of the year group were awarded all A* and As, with three boys gaining 3 A*s, two gaining 4 A*s and around half of these pioneer students gained at least one A* grade.
There were top grades achieved in all subjects at the school, in Marylebone Lane, Marylebone.
Seth Bolderow, Headmaster of Wetherby Senior, said: “I and all the teachers and staff are so proud of our ‘pioneer’ boys and their achievements at A-level.
“For 58 per cent of the boys to achieve A* or A is testament to their determination and hard work while also being fantastic ambassadors for the values of the school.
“Speaking to the boys this morning, we could sense their excitement about taking up the fantastic university offers as they move on to the next stage in their education.”
Most of the boys are joining Russell Group universities, including Cambridge, LSE, Imperial, UCL and Warwick.
