AFC Wimbledon set for summer cash windfall – with exit looking likely for Huddersfield midfielder
AFC Wimbledon are set for a cash windfall this summer, with former academy graduate Jack Rudoni likely to leave Huddersfield this summer.
The South London Press understands the Dons negotiated a 20 per cent sell-on fee with the Terriers when Rudoni was sold in July 2022.
Rudoni left Plough Lane as the club’s record sale of the phoenix era at the time, with Ayoub Assal and Ali Al-Hamadi surpassing that fee in the past two seasons.
The now 22-year-old notched up more than 100 appearances for the Dons in all competitions and picked up 30 goal contributions across his spell in the first team.
Rudoni has featured consistently in the Championship for Huddersfield, scoring five goals and recording three assists this year as they were relegated to League One.
The versatile Carshalton-born midfielder has turned out across a number of positions for Huddersfield this season, with the Yorkshire-based side having three different permanent managers across the campaign.
