Blackpool boss plays it coy when asked about permanent deal for Charlton winger Charlie Kirk
Blackpool manager Neil Critchley says it is not the right time to discuss whether they will make Charlie Kirk’s stay permanent.
The 24-year-old struggled to settle at Charlton Athletic and was loaned to the Championship club in January.
Blackpool included an option to sign Kirk, which is believed to recoup the £500,000 that the Addicks paid Crewe for his services in August.
The winger has made seven league appearances for the Seasiders, five of those starts. He started Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Luton Town before being replaced by Josh Bowler in the 69th minute.
Critchley told Lancs Live: “Charlie has shown his qualities, he makes that little bit of difference in the final third with the technical quality that’s he got with both feet and at set pieces.
“I don’t think he’s looked out of place in the Championship at all, he’s settled into the group really well.
”Beyond that I wouldn’t want to speculate, because he’s a Charlton player and he’s only on loan here. So that’ll be something that we have to think about in the next few weeks.”
