Former Charlton transfer target looks set for Scottish Premiership move

Uche Ikpeazu has reportedly completed a medical with Scottish Premiership side St Johnstone.

Sky Sports News have said that the 29-year-old – a free agent after leaving Port Vale following their relegation to League Two – is set to pen a two-year deal.

The ex-Middlesbourgh and Watford striker has had a spell in Scotland before, featuring for Hearts for two years after joining in 2918.

He had a medical last January with Charlton, but the Addicks signed Freddie Ladapo on loan from Ipswich Town.

The former Wycombe forward returned to Port Vale and saw out the season with the Valiants.

He made 20 League One appearances last season, scoring once.
