Former Crystal Palace midfielder makes National League transfer move
National League side Solihull Moors have signed former Crystal Palace midfielder John Bostock on a two-year deal.
Bostock, now 32, came through at Palace’s academy and made his first team debut at 15 – a substitute appearance against Watford in 2007 under Neil Warnock.
He still holds the record for the youngest-ever player to feature in the first team for the Eagles.
The Camberwell-born midfielder joined Tottenham in 2008 but was released in 2013, with loan spells at Brentford, Hull, Sheffield Wednesday, Swindon and Toronto during his time with the north Londoners.
Bostock has played in Belgium, Turkey and France during his career and most recently enjoyed success with Notts County, helping them win promotion to League Two.
He was released at the end of the 2023-24 season.
Bostock told Solihull’s website: “I’m very pleased, it’s been a process coming to this decision but one I’m very grateful for and I’m pleased to get the season underway.”
“It was really important where the club was situated as a family man they’re my priority.”
“It came down to speaking to the gaffer, Wardy and the project about how they wanted to play and the plans for the club. The club have come quite far very quickly and last year they came so close to taking the next step.”
