Jack Rudoni expected to leave AFC Wimbledon this summer with interest already in midfielder

Jack Rudoni is expected to leave AFC Wimbledon this summer following their imminent drop into League Two.

Sunderland and Barnsley both expressed interest in the 20-year-old, who can play right across the midfield and also in an advanced attacking role.

The Dons were believed to be holding out for £1million in January but that figure could drop with Rudoni only having one more season to run on his contract.

Although Wimbledon would still be due compensation if he ran his terms down, it seems unlikely that it would be as much as if they listened to offers when the next transfer window opens.

The South London Press has been told that there are Championship and League One clubs monitoring Rudoni’s situation. He has scored 10 goals and got seven assists despite playing in a Dons side who have failed to win a match since December 7.

Rudoni would be expected to cost a club record fee, breaking the £300,000 that Wrexham paid at the end of January to land striker Ollie Palmer.

He has scored 15 goals in 105 first-team appearances.
