Surrey have signed spinner Daniel Moriarty on a two-year contract.
The 20-year-old left-armer, who can also play as a lower order batsman. Moriarty played four red ball matches for Surrey’s second side in August and September.
“I’m very proud and honoured to have been offered a contract with one of the most prestigious counties in the game,” said Moriarty. “I really enjoyed my time with the second 11 earlier this year and I’m now looking forward to getting stuck in and pushing for a place in the first team.”
Director of cricket Alec Stewart said: “Following promising performances with the MCC Young Cricketers and our second 11 this summer, he has shown enough potential to earn this contract with the club.”
