‘We can see it’ – Oliver Glasner makes admission over Crystal Palace’s winless Premier League start
Oliver Glasner says Crystal Palace’s winless start to the 2024-25 Premier League is down to a lack of confidence.
The Eagles lost 1-0 at Nottingham Forest on Monday evening to extend their run to eight Premier League gams without three points – surpassing the record of seven without a win at the start of the 2017-18 season under Frank de Boer and Roy Hodgson.
Palace are 18th in the Premier League and have only kept one clean sheet this season.
“It’s not great – it’s not good,” said Glasner.
“Everybody is disappointed. It’s our responsibility – especially mine – to get their heads up.
“At the moment, I don’t think it’s a tactical or mentality problem – it’s a lack of confidence.
“We can see it. This is what we have to do to change. It’s not easy when you don’t win – we’re all humans.
“There is no reset button that you can press, but there was passion today and the hard working mentality.
“The players in the dressing room are very disappointed, but nobody was blaming each other.”
