Wilfried Zaha enjoying his football after Crystal Palace secured 2-0 win at Wolves

Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha praised his side’s fast start and the variety of options to impact the game after securing their seventh Premier League win of the season – A 2-0 victory against Wolves today.

Zaha scored his ninth goal of the season in the 34th minute when he converted a penalty that Jeffrey Schlupp won.

Palace opened the scoring through Jean-Philippe Mateta in the 19th minute at Molineux when Zaha latched on to a Conor Gallagher through ball and crossed for the French forward to finish at the second time of asking.

Wolves had five shots on target but could not find a way past Vicente Guaita in the Palace goal.

“We knew that we had to have a fast start, and I am happy that we managed to take the lead. We just had to kick on from there, really – it was the most difficult game,” said Zaha.

“In the second half, they just put [us under] pressure and pressure. The fact that we worked so hard together managed to get us the three points today.”

Speaking about the squad depth, Zaha added: “You’re seeing what Michael [Olise] is doing on the far side.

“It’s nice that we have got so many different options and so many different players who can impact the game – it’s an enjoyable team to be a part of.

“We have just got to keep our heads down and take every game as it comes. There is no easy game in the Premier League. Today, in the second half, I feel as though I literally ran the whole half and didn’t touch the ball.

“It’s hard work, but we have just keep doing what we’re doing.”
