Charlton Athletic land Marcus Maddison on free transfer – as former Posh and Hull attacker pens 12-month deal
Charlton Athletic have signed Marcus Maddison on a free transfer – with the attacking midfielder penning a deal until the summer of 2021.
There is also an option for the 27-year-old to extend his stay in SE7 by a further 12 months.
Maddison had been a target for the Addicks in the January transfer window but ESI’s inability to properly push through their takeover scuppered the move. Instead he spent the second half of the last campaign on loan at Hull City.
Maddison has scored 52 goals in 212 League One appearances. He has also provided 76 assists.
He becomes their fifth addition of the transfer window.
