Fulham busy on transfer deadline day as three players added to Scott Parker’s squad

Fulham made three signings before last night’s Premier League transfer deadline – with loan deals for Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Joachim Andersen as well as landing Tosin Adarabioyo permanently.

Central defender Adarabioyo joins on a three-year deal from Manchester City for a reported fee of around £2million.

The ex-England U19 impressed on loan at Blackburn Rovers last season.

Adarabioyo said: “I’m very excited, very excited to get going and finally be playing Premier League football.

“I felt like the time was right to leave [Man City] and push on. It was the right time in my career to move on and hopefully get a lot of Premier League games.”

Chelsea midfielder Loftus-Cheek, born in Lewisham, has previously spent time with Crystal Palace in the 2017-18 campaign.

He made just nine appearances for the Blues in all competitions last season.

Loftus-Cheek said: “I watched Fulham at the start of the season and they looked like they’re playing decent football. With this manager, I think I can get back to my best football. That’s the main thing for me, to find my form and help this team win games.”

Danish international Andersen, 24, has also boosted Fulham’s centre-back options.

He became Lyon’s record transfer in July 2019 when he made the move from Sampdoria. Prior to that he was with Twente.

Andersen said: “I’m really happy to make this move. I’m looking forward to playing in the Premier League and playing for a nice club like Fulham.

“It’s a league I’ve been following since I was a child and it’s a big, big dream to play in the Premier League, so I’m looking forward to it.”
