Start-up architectural company from Bexley shortlisted for business award

By Lizzie May

A start-up company has been shortlisted for a business award just nine months after launching.

Bexley-based Plan It UK, which provides drawings and structural design for home extensions, was set up by business partners Frazer Day and Harry Dunn, both 29.

The pair, from Sidcup, started the architectural services company in February and have had more than 150 customers since, including Love Island stars Olivia and Alex Bowen. They were nominated for a Bexley Excellence in Business Award.

The firm has undergone rapid expansion despite challenges faced by Covid-19.

Dad-of-one Frazer said: “We are so proud to have been shortlisted for this prestigious local award.

“I won’t deny that the pandemic has been tough for us – as it has for everyone.

“By creating a Covid secure system where customers can upload their own measurements without the need for a visit, we’ve weathered the storm and gone from strength to strength.”

The start-up stemmed from a family member looking to extend their home, expressing frustration with the cost and complexities.
