Birmingham City v Millwall team line-ups: Three changes for Lions as Jiri Skalak handed rare start

Millwall manager Gary Rowett has made three changes for today’s match at Birmingham City.

The Lions chief hands a rare start to Jiri Skalak with Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Alex Pearce all coming in.

The three players coming out of the team from Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with Reading – Ben Thompson, Shaun Williams and Scott Malone – drop to the bench.

Skalak has not played a single minute in the Championship for the SE16 outfit this season and has not even been in the matchday squad for nine of their 13 matches in the competition.

His last start in the league for them was on December 21, 2019.

Tom Bradshaw is fit enough to be on the bench but the South Londoners are still missing a number of first-teamers – Mahlon Romeo, Billy Mitchell, Connor Mahoney, Mason Bennett and Kenneth Zohore.

Millwall: Bialkowski, Skalak, Pearce, Cooper, Hutchinson, M Wallace, Leonard, Woods, J Wallace, Bodvarsson, Parrott. Subs: Fielding, Malone, Brown, Ferguson, Williams, Thompson, Burey, Bradshaw, Smith.

Birmingham: Etheridge, Colin, Roberts, Dean, Friend, Pedersen, Sunjic, San Jose, Sanchez, Leko, Jutkiewicz. Subs: Prieto, Clarke-Salter, Dacres-Cogley, Kieftenbeld, Gardner, Bela, Toral, McGree, Hogan.
