Non-league test awaits for Millwall in FA Cup third round

Millwall will head to non-league Boreham Wood in the third round of the FA Cup.

The Hertfordshire club won 3-0 at Canvey Island last night.

The draw had already taken place before the match with the Lions facing the victors.

Kabongo Tshimanga, Kane Smith and Matt Rhead were on target for the Wood, who are 16th in the National League table.

All ties will be played on the weekend of January 8-11.

Boreham Wood are one of four non-league sides left in the competition.

They ran out comfortable victors at Canvey as they had 21 shots, 14 of those on target.

Sorba Thomas – the subject of a rejected bid by Charlton in the last transfer window – provided the assist for Smith’s goal.

Millwall reached the fourth round stage of the FA Cup last season, losing 2-0 at The Den to Sheffield United.
