Manchester United man still struggling with after-effects of Covid-19 – as Charlton chief provides injury update for AFC Wimbledon game

Charlton manager Lee Bowyer has revealed that Dylan Levitt is still struggling with the after-effects of contracting Covid-19.

Marcus Maddison and Deji Oshilaja look set to be back in the Addicks squad for Saturday’s home game against AFC Wimbledon.

Oshilaja had been forced to self-isolate due to Levitt’s positive test result.

And despite Levitt now being cleared to return to action, the on-loan Manchester United midfielder is still struggling.

“Maddison was back in yesterday – he was off ill at the weekend,” said Charlton manager Lee Bowyer.

“With Dylan we’ll have to keep seeing how he is – he’s been struggling a bit with his breathing, so we have to be a bit more careful with him.

“But there was never anything wrong with Deji, so he will be fine.”

Ryan Inniss has missed the last five League One matches.

“I got told he is going to be out for 12 weeks from when he did it,” said Bowyer. “It’s something to do with the tendon in his thigh. It’s an injury we’ve never had before.

“He has got to do his rehab and if that goes well I’m hoping he can be back sooner. He’s left a big hole.”
