Noel Gallagher and Tom Jones are coming to Greenwich.

The ex-Oasis superstar and Sex Bomb singer are the latest acts announced headlining the Viking Greenwich Music Time (VGMT) festival to be held at the Old Royal Naval College (ORNC) this summer.

The open-air festival, in its fifth year, will run from July 3 to July 8 with Emeli Sande and Steps also announced.

Angela McConville, ONRC chief executive, said: “We’re over the moon to be hosting Greenwich Music Time in the beautiful grounds of the Old Royal Naval College for the fifth time this summer.

“Our amazing riverside setting and stunning architecture provides the perfect backdrop to a truly unforgettable line-up, including Noel Gallagher and Tom Jones, and we can’t wait to see what else is in store for visitors to Greenwich this July.”

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will be coming off the back of their world tour to play on Saturday, July 7 with tickets starting at £49.50. Peter Taylor, chief executive of event organisers Cuffe and Taylor, said: “Noel Gallagher is without doubt one of the finest artists of our time and we’re delighted that he’ll be performing his incredible catalogue of music at Greenwich Music Time in July for what is sure to be one of the gigs of the summer.”

Emeli Sande will be performing on Tuesday, July 3 and Tom Jones will take to stage the following day. Tickets for both of them go on sale Friday, March 2. Previous VGMT acts include The Jacksons, Goldfrapp, Little Mix and Jools Holland.
