Millwall 1 Forest 1 – Quickfire second-half double as Lions draw for 10th time this season

Millwall extended their unbeaten record against Nottingham Forest to six matches – but drew for a 10th time in the 2020-21 season.

Tom Bradshaw netted for the second match in succession but it was almost instantly cancelled out by Alex Mighten.

Both teams pushed for a clincher in the closing stages but were not aided by a poor pitch and driving rain.

The first 45 minutes lacked goalmouth incident. That changed almost instantly in the second period as Jon Dadi Bodvarsson drove to the byline and cut back for Bradshaw, who managed to finish a less than simple close-range chance.

It was the frontman’s third goal of the campaign and the first time he has netted back-to-back for the SE16 outfit since the start of January.

But the Lions were unable to protect that advantage for more than a couple of minutes as Mighten produced a deft finish over Bartosz Bialkowski in the 49th minute.

Jed Wallace had a big chance soon after that and again Bodvarsson was the architect. His pass put the winger in on the right of the box – but he appeared torn between a shot and crossing for Bradshaw. In the end his effort went across the face of goal.

Ryan Leonard produced a full-blooded strike in stoppage time which was tipped over by Brice Samba.

Millwall have the most draws in the division – seven of those in the last 11 outings.
