“Pure speculation” – Palace boss Roy Hodgson reacts to Wilfried Zaha transfer links
Roy Hodgson has described the latest reports linking Wilfried Zaha with a move away from Crystal Palace in this month’s transfer window as “pure speculation”.
AC Milan have been mooted as admirers for the Eagles talisman.
Palace manager Roy Hodgson said: “It’s pure speculation. There has been so much speculation regarding Wilf over the years that these days I tend to let those concerns disappear – as they often do.
“Wilf’s good, there’s no doubt about that. Does it surprise me that there are clubs out there who would like to sign him? There are a lot of things that have to be in place before a player leaves a club and joins a new one.
“I’m just happy at the moment that Wilf is playing how he is, showing the discipline, concentration and passion he has for football and the club. I just work on the basis that until I’m given a reason otherwise I will expect that to keep going.”
