QPR sign former Charlton loanee Sam Field

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

QPR have signed Sam Field on loan – with the option of making the West Brom midfielder’s stay permanent in the summer.

The 22-year-old made a temporary Championship move to Charlton Athletic in the 2019-20 season but knee issues limited him to 18 appearances.

Field has played 58 minutes of Premier League football this season – all as a substitute.

In total he has featured 45 times for the Baggies and netted twice.

Field has been capped at U17, U18 and U20 level and was voted West Brom’s Young Player of the Year in 2017.

Field made his debut for the Midlands outfit at the age of 18.

His deal at The Hawthorns runs until June 2022.
