Finally a Den exit in sight for Millwall man who failed to impress in South London

Jiri Skalak is set to see his Millwall contract terminated – five months before he was due to become a free agent.

The 28-year-old has played just 96 minutes of Championship football this season – and clocked up only seven minutes of league football since the end of November.

The Lions would have listened to any offers for the former Brighton man in recent windows but there was hardly an impressive body of work to compel teams to make a move.

Skalak has featured just 38 times since making the switch from the Seagulls in August 2018.

Only four of his 12 Championship appearances last season were starts and he has failed to make any kind of impression on the first-team picture at The Den.

Reports yesterday suggested that the Czech Republic wideman is set to sign for Mlada Boleslav in his homeland.
